Fabric of the Land is a series of exhibitions exploring links between art and science and is brought to you by the Geology & Petroleum Geology Department at the University of Aberdeen.
This year’s brief encourages emerging and established artists to submit artworks that consider the footprint nature leaves in the landscape from a geological perspective.
Number of works to be submitted: Up to 2 per artist
Exhibits:
* Two-dimensional and three-dimensional works may be submitted.
* Exhibits should be no more than 1.5 metres in any direction.
* Participants must include a high res image of the work(s) they are submitting on a CD or memory stick, this will not be returnable. Images will not be accepted via email. (if selected - images supplied will be used in the catalogue or promotional material)
* If your artwork requires alternative hanging methods, please supply all materials needed and give clear instructions on how it should be installed.
* Floor pieces are not accepted due to space limitations.
* All work should be for sale.
Selection:
* All works submitted to the exhibition are shown to the selection/hanging committee, whose decision to accept or reject is final.
* The selection will take place on Monday 6 Aug 2012.
* Artists will be notified of acceptance within one week of the selection date by email.
Entry Fee: £10.00 per artist
