7th Annual Idaho Falls National Juried Exhibition

The Idaho Falls National Exhibition is an annual juried exhibition organized by the Idaho Falls Arts Council (IFAC) and exhibited at the Willard Arts Center in Idaho Falls, ID. Artists working in all mediums throughout the United States are invited to submit.


Submission Rules

• Submit a completed entry form and images of up to three artworks. Images must be JPEG and at least 300dpi (suitable for printing in the exhibition catalogue).
• Entry is free, but participants must be current IFAC members (membership for artists is $35/year).
• Artwork must have been created within the last three years. Works previously exhibited at the Willard Arts Center are not eligible.
• Artists must be 14 years of age or older to submit.
• Artists have the option of selling their artwork. Please note that IFAC retains a 35% commission on all sales.


Prizes

• First place: $750
• Second place: $500
• Third place: $250
• Honorable Mention
• People’s Choice
• IFAC Purchase Award (up to $1,000)

Tennessee Arts Commission: Individual Artist Fellowships

DESCRIPTION
This award provides fellowships to outstanding professional artists who live and work in Tennessee. No matching funds are required and no specific project has to be carried out with the funds. The Commission anticipates that each fellowship in FY 2013 will be $5,000. In the coming year, the Tennessee Arts Commission may award up to two (2) fellowships each in Craft, Design, Media, Visual Art, Dance, Music, and Theater, as well as three (3) in the Literary category.

ELIGIBILITY
Fellowship applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be legal residents of Tennessee at the time of application with a Tennessee mailing address.

Individuals may apply in only one fellowship category each fiscal year. Those artists who have received full or partial (“Honorable Mention”) fellowships in the past may not reapply for a fellowship.

This award is designed to recognize professional artists, i.e. those individuals who either by education, experience, or natural talent engage in a particular art form or discipline. To qualify, an artist must be financially compensated for his or her work, and this compensation must be a significant source of support for their livelihood.

Two Deadlines exist for this grant.
1. The online eGrant must be submitted electronically by Monday, January 23, 2012 by 4:30 p.m. (CST).
2. The printed application and required documents/materials must also be postmarked or hand-delivered to the Tennessee Arts Commission by Monday, January 23, 2012 by 4:30 p.m. (CST).

Circle Craft Gallery Exhibitions

2013 Shows


Circle Craft presents a new exhibition between February and November in the Gallery and the programme is booked a year in advance. Shows are invitational to members and non-members, and the Gallery Committee welcomes requests from any craftsperson working in British Columbia who feels ready to mount a show.

We are currently accepting applications for 2013 shows. The deadline for applications is Jan 23, 2012.

The Gallery Committee is responsible for selecting exhibitors.

Commission on gallery sales is 60% for members and 55% for non-members.

The Application should include: (truncated)

BIOGRAPHY (up to 200 words). Note background highlights linking with your work. Avoid long lists of academic history, shows or awards: just pick out what’s significant.

PHOTOS At least 6 high quality colour photographs of your work.

ARTIST STATEMENT (roughly 60 words) explaining who you are, what you make and why. Keep it simple and interesting. Statements from other years can be viewed on our website.
