Contemporary Artists Center
Annual Open Call

Deadline: November 1, 2006 (postmark)

Our five galleries as well as downtown and site specific installations offer exhibition opportunities for local, national, and international artists. The CAC has an annual open call for artwork/performances to be considered for the upcoming season. All entries must be postmarked by Nov 1st.

To be considered please furnish at least five examples of your current or relevant work. Slides, photos, digital images, VHS and audio recordings are accepted. Please label all submissions and include a S.A.S.E if you wish them to be returned. A suggested $15 application fee is asked of each artist to contribute to our Artist Honorarium Fund. Additional specific exhibition opportunities occur throughout the year.

Special Opportunities

Artist Honorarium Fund: Every season the CAC chooses one artist to create a new piece specifically for exhibition in North Adams (CAC Project Space, performance, or site specific). The artist will be awarded between $500-$1000 and an optional one to two week residency to complete this work.

Project Space: This gallery is set aside specifically for artwork proposals of an experimental nature. The space is particularly suited for installation and time based work.
