Sky Gallery is a new outlet for local artists to display their work on possibly the largest canvas in town: billboards! Sky Gallery is a unique opportunity for an artist to share their creativity with the community on a whole new level. Champaign County is an incredibly creative community overflowing with talent. Adams Outdoor Advertising and 40 North | 88 West wanted to feed those creative flames by creating a different type of rotating gallery.
ELIGIBILITY
• Established and emerging artists are welcome to apply.
• Applicants must be based in Champaign County.
• Original artwork must fit appropriately within the panoramic format of the billboard in order to ensure an effective presentation
• Artwork must be of an appropriate nature for public family-friendly viewing.
• All genres, styles, and media will be considered.
• Previously commissioned or commercial work is not eligible
SELECTION PROCESS
Submissions will be accepted for review through February 24, 2014. Five winners will be chosen by a jury made up of representatives of the Champaign County community and one winner will be selected out of 10 finalists by the general public through an online voting process. All the winners will have their piece showcased on a custom 10ft x 30ft billboard.
Entry Fee: 1 image - $25; 2 images - $40; 3 images - $60

Artists residing in the United States.
CATEGORIES ACCEPTED
Sculpture, painting, drawing, photo, printmaking, ceramics, assemblage, collage, mixed media, fiber art, artist book. This exhibition cannot accept jewelry, video, film, performance art, installation and works requiring an external electrical source.
ARTWORK MAXIMUM SIZE
2-Dimensional Work: Height 9 feet, Width 4 feet - including frame
3-Dimensional Work: Must fit pedestal sized 16” x 16” or take up no more than 4 feet of gallery floor space.
JUROR: Alan Bamberger
Alan Bamberger is a San Francisco-based art consultant, advisor, author and independent appraiser.
GALLERY & ON-LINE GALLERY
There are two opportunities to get into this show. The juror will select works that will be exhibited in the Arc Gallery at 1246 Folsom Street and on the Arc On-line Gallery. The juror will also select works that will be shown in the Arc On-line gallery only. This allows for more works to be seen beyond the 1,000 square feet physical limitation of the gallery.
CATALOG
All artwork selected will be included in the exhibition catalog available for sale through Lulu.com.
NON-REFUNDABLE ENTRY FEE
Payment of $35 per entry. Each entry at $35 includes up to three submitted works or images. Each artist is allowed up to two entries of three each for a total of six submitted works or images. Each entry can be up to three distinct submitted works, or up to three multiple images of the same piece.

The CAC Annual Juried Show is the Contemporary Arts Center’s opportunity to expose artists working in contemporary visual arts to a wide audience. This exhibition is a prominent showcase in the Southern Nevada region and highlights the exceptional work of national and international emerging artists in all media.
ELIGIBILITY
National and international artists 16 years and older may submit a maximum of five works completed within the last two years and not exhibited in a previous CAC exhibition.
JUROR
Mat Gleason is a Los Angeles art critic, curator, commentator and writer for The Huffington Post, and publisher of Coagula Art Journal, which he founded in 1992.
AWARDS
Over $3,000 in awards money is available to the juror to present to artists.
ENTRY FEE
Members of the CAC may enter two pieces for $20, plus an additional $5 per piece, up to five pieces total. Non-members may enter two pieces for $30, plus an additional $10 per piece, up to five pieces total. Memberships start at $25 per year.
SALES
The Contemporary Arts Center receives a 30% commission from all works of art designated for sale. Clark County sales tax is 8.1%.

The Living Heritage Museum has several wonderful examples of historic hooked rugs in its collection. The Museum is also home to an annual hooked rug show that features almost 200 hooked rugs each February through March.
Schedule:
Rugs must be received no later than February 24, 2012
Rugs will be displayed from March 5-28, 2012
Rugs will be returned by April 6, 2012
Shipment:
Artist is responsible for all shipping costs and shipping containers to and from the Museum.

Open to artists residing in the United States. Only original artwork executed by artist within the last two years and not previously shown in a juried Larson Gallery show will be considered. Artwork must be executed and designed by exhibiting artist. The Gallery makes the final decision regarding eligibility.
Eligible media: A variety of media is welcomed including fiber, metal, beadwork, leather, paper, wood, etc. All works that embrace the theme of “accessorizing the body” are eligible; this includes jewelry, combs, hair ornaments, belts, scarves, sashes, satchels, shoes, ties, hand bags, gloves, hats, handkerchiefs and more! Artwork must be functional and wearable. Garments and clothing are not eligible.
Artwork will be juried from digital photo files submitted on your CD.
