CALL FOR ENTRIES
Open to all U.S. resident artists 18 and over. You are invited to submit up to 5 digital images of your original works completed in the past two years, not previously shown in a MarinMOCA or Artists of MarinMOCA show.
Open to all media except video and film. Only online entries with digital upload of images will be accepted.
Digital entries must be RECEIVED via online application on or before midnight, FRIDAY, JULY 30, 2010. Notification will be by online list of accepted artwork and via e-mail.
SIZE LIMITATION
2D art work: height, 84in (7ft), width 72in (6ft) unframed, total weight with frame not to exceed 70 pounds.
3D art work: height 84in (7ft), width 72in (6ft) depth, 36” (3ft), not to exceed 70 pounds (floor installation).
FEES
A non-refundable entry fee will be charged. Entry fee for Non-Members $35 for up to 3 entries or $50 for 4 to 5 entries. Entry fee for Artist Members of MarinMOCA $30 for up to 3 entries or $45 for 4 to 5 entries. Diptychs and triptychs count as one piece; use only one pix of entire diptych or triptych.

First Place: $ 500.00
Second Place: $ 300.00
Third Place: $ 100.00
Non-monetary Honorable Mention awards may be given at the Juror’s discretion.
SALES
MarinMOCA will reimburse the exhibitor an amount equal to the “Show Price” less 30% commission (MarinMOCA members) or 40% commission (non-members). Enter NFS in “Show Price” for work that is not for sale.

Theme: “Shuki and Shuhaidai”
Requirements
Creation of works under the theme “Shuki and Shuhaidai” with no restriction on material. All works must concern Sake.
Entry
This is an open competition. Both individual and group entries are welcome.
Maximum Number of Submission
There is no limit to number of works to be submitted. However, when submitting works (or group of works) under different
concepts, please submit separate entry forms for each set of works.
Application Essentials
All works must be complete, original and unreleased with the sales price equal to or no more than 100,000 yen. Regarding the works submitted from abroad, they will not be for sale due to the declaration of exemption from taxation for re-export. There is no limit on size. However, organiser may decide not to show the works that may cause difficulty in transportation and display or for those that are too fragile.
Registration fee of 11,000 yen (general)/ 7,000 yen (students). All fees are inclusive of return delivery fee of 3,000 yen. There is no refund of the registration fee under any circumstance.

The Tamworth Textile Triennial will build on the tradition of the Tamworth Fibre Textile Biennials, showcasing the work of contemporary textile artists.
There are few events in Australia that can demonstrate such a strong tradition of promoting and sustaining the unique cultural heritage associated with both the history and technology of textile practice.
The 1st Tamworth Textile Triennial will provide a forum to explore current issues and trends in textile practice in Australia.
Tamworth Regional Gallery will work to develop stronger links with Asia and is committed to building the profile of the exhibition and engaging with a wider audience.
Expressions of interest are encouraged from a variety of disciplines, age groups, emerging artists and established practitioners.
The selection process will be in three stages: (truncated)
Stage One (February – July 2010)
Artists are invited to submit an expression of interest. A panel will be convened in August 2010 to make an initial selection of artists. The factors they will consider will include:
Innovation – this can include individual and/or collaborative projects (with other individuals or industry or technology-based, educational or community organisations)
Demonstrated skills in realising concepts – this can include drawing, visual diary and collage book of ideas
Use of traditional and/or contemporary technologies.
Demonstrated appreciation of craft traditions – textile specific, but can include another craft discipline
Use of materials - can include sustainable practice and processes Use of colour and pattern.
Stage Two (September – November 2010)
Artists selected in Stage One will be invited to submit a detailed proposal in response to a theme to be determined by the curator.
Stage Three (November 2010)
Artists selected for the first Tamworth Textile Triennial will be advised by the end of November 2010.
Expressions of interest will be accepted from artists living and working in Australia.
A submitted expression of interest indicates that where the artist is selected for the 1st Tamworth Textile Triennial, the artist authorises the reproduction of images of their work, their artist statement and CV in the catalogue, education kit, website, promotion and other material produced for the 1st Tamworth Textile Triennial.
The panel will not consider any materials submitted, other than those identified in prospectus.
