Hill End Residencies 2010



Artists are invited to apply for the 2010 season of residencies at Hill End. A limited number of residency places in 2010 will be funded with the generous support of Arts NSW, the Department of Environment and Climate Change (Parks Services Division) and Country Energy.

The Hill End Artist in Residence Program aims to provide an opportunity for creative development in all areas of the visual arts in the unique environment Hill End and this region offers and at the same time to contribute to the long term cultural development and sustainability of the Village.

The Residency Program is based in Haefligers' Cottage and Studio and Murray's Cottage at Hill End. The program is managed by Bathurst Regional Art Gallery in partnership with the Parks Services Division, Department of Environment and Conservation.

HOW TO APPLY

Send an up-to-date curriculum vita, samples of recent work (these should be as representative as possible) and an outline of the project to be undertaken at Hill End. Applicants who have a clear idea of what they want to achieve will get the most benefit from a residency at Hill End.

The Historic Village of Hill End in the central west of NSW is situated in an upland valley 84 kilometers north west of Bathurst and 35 Kilometers west of Sofala. The village is not accessible via public transport and it is just over 4 hours drive from the Sydney CBD.
