Eligibility and Entrance Fees
All sections, except W4 and K3 (1 st year students only) are open to independent designers, designers employed in the UK
textile industry and students from UK Universities and Colleges. All competitors must be resident in the United Kingdom.

An entrance fee of £10 per entry is payable by independent designers and those employed in the industry. The entrance fee for registered students is £5 for the first entry and £2.50 for each additional entry from the same student.

Categories

Woven Textiles, Knitted Textiles, Printed Textiles, Combined Processes (inlcuding Embroidery), Ecological Production and, Fashion Garment Textile.

Special Awards: (Judged from all submissions from above categories)

‘TWIST’ AWARD: £200
For a constructed textile in any of the above categories using over 50% of luxury fibres (wool, silk, cashmere, alpaca etc).

THE DESIGNERS’ GUILD PLAQUE
(Winner announced at Design Seminar)
Awarded to an individual or an institution for outstanding work.

‘PREMIÈRE VISION’ AWARD
(4 winners announced at Design Seminar)
A sponsored visit to Première Vision Autumn/Winter Salon as special guests.

BTS PRESIDENTIAL PRIZE
(Winner announced at Design Seminar)
Selected from 1 st Prize winners of all categories and awarded for ingenuity of entry.
