Collaboration with artists is central to the idea of creating great tapestry art, and in its 30-year history the Victorian Tapestry Workshop has worked with many leading Australian and international artists.

The artist-in-residence program invites Australian artists to immerse themselves in the unique studio environment of the Workshop. To be selected, artists need to demonstrate an element in their practice that relates to tapestry.

The opportunity of a salon-style exhibition at the Workshop at the end of the residency is a benefit of the program. The Workshop is interested in receiving submissions from artists who would like to participate in its residency program.
