The Mideastern Region of The Embroiderers' Guild of America (EGA)is pleased to be hosting the National EGA Seminar 2009, Bridges to Stitching. The seminar will be held at the Wm. Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh, PA.

Please accept this invitation to submit teaching proposals for Seminar 2009 for 1, 2 and 4-day classes. In addition to regular classes offered during seminar week, (Monday through Friday), we plan to offer classes on Saturday and Sunday, October 3-4, 2009.

The seminar committee would like to offer students classes in a wide variety of techniques and proficiency levels. We are interested in classes that:

- allow students some choices for design, colors, stitches, and/or materials
- incorporate color and/or design with a theme or special technique
- teach teachers and teach judges about perfecting their chosen field
- have a history orientation
- involve projects other than pictures, such as clothing embellishment, jewelry,
and three dimensional items
- offer a wide sampling of a specific technique –i.e. notebook class

Proposals should be postmarked by March 1, 2008 (foreign February 16, 2008). E-mail
proposals will also be accepted until March 1, 2008. The selection committee will meet in Youngstown, Ohio March 14-15, 2008. Acceptance contracts will be mailed and all proposals will be returned by March 28, 2008.

Please call or write if you need clarification or more information. We anticipate your response with excitement and look forward to receiving your proposals.
