Visual Arts at Bumbershoot presents cutting edge, urban artwork that highlights the talents of mid-career and emerging artists. Featuring site-specific and interactive exhibits as well as more traditional presentations, the Visual Arts program has presented groundbreaking trends like sound art, virtual reality, and graffiti alongside fresh takes on traditional media such as textiles and photography.

The program includes outdoor installations, interactive public art, and other performance art and large-scale spectacle, which push the boundaries of exhibition beyond the gallery model, exposing and engaging the general public in contemporary artistic expression.
