Kentucky Crafted Program enables craft artists, with handmade products that have met high quality standards, to reach regional, national, and international markets through state-sponsored wholesale and retail promotional venues.

Program Purpose

The purpose of the Kentucky Crafted Program is to support professional visual and craft artists and promote a diverse selection of high quality contemporary and traditional Kentucky art.

Goals
  • Facilitate Kentucky visual and craft artists to successfully compete in a global market.

  • Recognize and encourage the production of marketable high quality art and craft products.

  • Provide retailers, galleries and consumers with access to high quality art and crafts.

  • Promote Kentucky as a leading producer of high quality art and craft in order to enhance tourism and economic development.

Program Description

The Kentucky Crafted program provides assistance to Kentucky artists through economic opportunities and training.

Who May Apply

Visual and craft artists who are Kentucky residents may apply. Applicants must have been full-time Kentucky residents for at least six months prior to the application deadline, and remain full-time residents for the program participation period.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawfully admitted to the U.S. for permanent residence or have permission from the Department of Homeland Security to work permanently in the U.S.

Application

Completed application forms must be submitted via Kentucky Arts Services OnLine (KASOL) by the deadline. Upon online submission, applicants will receive a confirmation e-mail with your application PDF attached. If you do not receive a confirmation, contact the KAC immediately.

Print and sign the PDF and mail/deliver it to the KAC. The PDF and materials must be received in the KAC office within seven calendar days of the deadline date.
