Theme
The theme of the 2009 Conference is Fibre Unleashed: Pushing the Limits.

Each entry should reflect a personal interpretation of the theme.

Conditions of entry –The juried show is open to all members of OHS, including those residing outside Ontario, the OHS Board of Directors and its Committees.

Criteria – Open to all textile media, including basketry, beading, braiding, felting, lace, paper making, spinning and weaving. Knitting and/or crocheting must be of at least 60% handspun yarn.

Dimensions – Express it large, express it small, but do express it.
Maximum dimensions of each piece when suitably packed for shipping must not exceed 130 inches in girth, i.e. (width x2) + (height x2) + (length X2) must not be greater than 130 inches. Length must not be greater than 108 inches.

Specifications
¨ Entries must be original and executed after January 1, 2008.
¨ Each OHS member may submit up to (3) entries.
An ensemble or set is considered as one entry. A completed official entry form must accompany each entry.
¨ Entry fee: There is a non refundable entry fee of $15.00 for first item, $25.00 for two items and $30.00 for three items, must be paid by each entrant. A maximum of 3 entries
¨ Entry form and fee must be received by February 16, 2009.
¨ A short description (approximately 50 words) must accompany each piece submitted.
¨ The entrant will be recognized as the designer. Any assistance in creating the piece, must be acknowledged.

Judging and Display
¨ Entries will be judged on excellence of design and technical skill including construction and finishing details, as well as show well they reflect the theme of the competition.
¨ Accepted entries will be displayed at the Nottawasaga Inn during the conference.
¨ The decision of the jurors in awarding prizes, selecting entries for exhibition and resolving any matters of dispute will be final.
