The City of Auburn Arts Commission and the White River Valley Museum are partnering in November 2008 to present the first Small Works Juried Art Show and Sale. This year’s show, Small Works, Big Presents, celebrates the diversity and creativity in the regional arts scene and showcases the work of emerging and established Pacific Northwest artists while the community is offered an opportunity to purchase fine artwork.
Guidelines for the Exhibit
Small Works, Big Presents is open to all Northwest artists working in two-dimensional format. Artists may submit a maximum of two small works and a maximum of two mini works (limit four artworks total). The exhibit does not conform to a theme; any artwork suitable for public viewing and adhering to the guidelines listed below are eligible for display. Artists of diverse mediums may enter, including but not limited to: paint, ink, pencil, printmaking, mixed media, textiles, mosaic, glass, recycled materials, photography, calligraphy, collage, new media, and fiber art.

All works for both categories must be:
- Original and for sale.
- Suitably and sturdily framed (unless on canvas).
Use picture wire for hanging. No string. No clamp plastic or glass frames. - Finished, dry and ready to hang.
- No subject matter that can be considered lewd, pornographic or otherwise inappropriate will be accepted.
The City of Auburn Arts Commission and the White River Valley Museum reserve the right to not accept artwork or remove any artwork from display at any time, for any reason, and at their sole discretion.
Small Works
Maximum outside frame dimensions:
20”x24”
Maximum weight: 25 pounds
$300 or less
Use picture wire only for hanging. No saw-tooth hangers or clips.
Mini Works
Maximum outside frame dimensions: 6”x6”
Maximum weight: 15 pounds
$150 or less
Saw-tooth hangers or picture wire acceptable.
Fees
A non-refundable fee of $5 per entry, for up to four entries [two Small Works and two Mini Works] is to accompany artwork at time of entry.
A 25% commission will be charged on all works sold. Proceeds from art sales benefit the White River Valley Museum.
