Theme of all work is to be Gold. The interpretation of the theme is that of the individual.
EMBROIDERY OF ORIGINAL DESIGN
where the major importance of the work is embroidery
MIXED MEDIA
where patchwork or quilting is a significant part of the work
WORKING WITH YARN
where knitting, crochet, felting or weaving are an important component of the finished work
PIGMENT, PAINTED, DYED FABRIC
where fabric printing or painting is of major importance in the work
WEARABLE ART
including any items of dress, millinery or costume jewellery
MODERN INTERPRETATION OF TRADITIONAL ETHNIC STYLE
AWARDS
$250 prize in each category with an overall prize of $750
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY (truncated--read brochure for complete details)
• the work must reflect clearly the theme Gold.
• the work must be have been made within two years of the exhibition.
• no more than three works may be submitted by one artist.
• with the exception of wearable art, the maximum perimeter must not exceed a perimeter of four metres.
• the entry fee must be paid at the time of the registration of the entrants intention to participate in the Award.
Cost of Entry:
$10 per entry per work non-refundable. Students free.
