From the Message Box: Thanksgiving
Hello:
Today is a holiday for our American readers and subscribers. Happy Thanksgiving!
I am thankful for MANY things--not least of which is THIS blog. Fiber Art Calls for Entry started as a personal offline project but over time the lists just GREW. Since I knew there were other artists (from emerging to established) in search of places to exhibit their work, I decided to put the lists online.
Our initial association was with ArtQuilts at the Sedgwick, the biennial art quilt exhibition. However, just as that show was morphing into Art Quilt Elements, I felt it was time for Fiber Art Calls for Entry to broaden its focus and move in a different direction.
The blog is still fiber centered but we are very interested in cross pollination of media and disciplines. Therefore, we are now associated with Art Craft Design Culture--a show designed to encompass what we value so highly.
As always, more to come....
Peace and Harmony,
The Keeper
