Watershed is a surface design fiber art exhibition by Textile Center Members.

A watershed moment is one that reflects a significant occurrence that radically changes the pattern and flow of events towards a different outcome. Choose a watershed moment (i.e.historical, personal, political, environmental, etc) and translate that event onto the surface of your work.

Accepted work will be exhibited in the Textile Center Community Gallery.

ELIGIBILITY

Artists must be 18 years of age or older.

Artist must be current member of Textile Center.

Artwork must have been completed after January 1, 2009.

All pieces must be artist’s original design or concept and executed solely by the artist. Collaborative work of members will also be considered. Artwork executed under formal classroom or educational/supervisory guidance is not eligible.

Up to 2 pieces may be submitted per $15 entry fee.

Artwork using any textile-related materials or techniques will be considered.

Surface may be multi-dimensional but must be able to hang flat to the wall using a sleeve/slat or picture hanger.

Artwork may not have been previously exhibited at Textile Center.

Artwork must conform exactly to these dimensions: Horizontal 12”h x 18”w or vertical 12”w x 18”h.(finished outside edges)
Work of any other size will not be considered.
