Re-Tread Threads is a mixed media exhibition of fiber art created from materials reclaimed from everyday life and re-used as artistic media.

ELIGIBILITY

Artists must be 18 years of age or older.

All pieces must be artist’s original design or concept and executed solely by the artist.

Maximum 2 pieces may be entered per entry fee.

Pieces must have been completed after January 1, 2009.

Pieces must contain a minimum of 50% reclaimed materials.

Pieces executed under classroom/educational/supervisory guidance are not eligible.

Pieces may not have been previously exhibited at Textile Center.

No size limitations.

JUROR
Lynda Erwin Andrus
Lynda is currently a Full Professor of Art and 3-D Design Area Head at Kansas State University, Manhattan KS. She has authored textbooks on 3-D and dimensional art and her work has been published in many magazines and books. Lynda has won numerous awards for her work.
