Exhibition Dates: October 6 to November 9, 2006
We bravely construct our identities in an age-phobic culture. How can our art be a revitalizing force for the aged, and the aging? What critical visions can we share to counter society's destructive images of old? What strategies can we offer to connect creativity and aging in ways which are mind/body/soul affirming? Woman Made is interested in your perspective, whether it is political, psychological, social, economic, cultural, ethnic, racial, biological, spiritual, conceptual or humorous. Open to artwork by women in all media except video. Images of up to 3 artworks may be submitted by mail or email. Reproductions of pre-existing works of art are not eligible. WMG will not accept digital images on a CD. JPGs need to be emailed to the gallery with the appropriate entry form. Use the Digital Entry Form to submit digital files (jpgs) online. By mail: send slides of up to three works and a statement of up to 200 words. Entry fee: $24.
