Belfast Print Workshop is the largest space in the North of Ireland with it's own dedicated gallery where professional printmakers can share facilities, materials and ideas with each other. They have the opportunity to sell their prints through an integrated gallery and online to a worldwide audience.

BPW are now accepting submissions for a BPW Members solo or two person exhibition in the BPW gallery in 2015. The second 2015 show will open September 3rd 2015. Artists are encouraged to use both wall and floor space utilising both traditional and experimental techniques and technologies, exploring the boundaries of printmaking.

Submission is now open and will close at 5pm on 1st March 2015 for the September submission.

* Artists are encouraged to submit recent work (produced within the last year)
* Work cannot have been exhibited before at the BPW Gallery
* Work must be for sale
* All applicants must write an exhibition proposal, CV and provide images of recent work to clearly illustrate the concept and how you see your exhibition working.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY (truncated)

Digital prints are eligible only if it is clear to the selectors that they are original artworks made by the creative use of digital technology and that they are not reproduction prints.

As a guideline for print submissions, the BPW encourages printmaking as a creative art. Prints may be unique one-off pieces or they may be made as a signed and numbered, limited edition. All traditional printmaking techniques e.g. etching, woodcut, litho, screen print, mixed media etc. are eligible, as are the more recent technologies e.g. digital, photographic etc. but in every case the print must be an original creative artwork made by the methods chosen or a combination of these.

The selectors’ opinion on this will be decisive.

Hanging: The majority of the work must be framed in non-stock, good quality framing.

* Work that is not framed for aesthetic reasons will only be accepted if it is delivered in a suitable case allowing the work to be stored safely.

* Work that is not framed must be able to be securely fastened to the wall.

Should the artist require any specialist hanging methods the artist must supply the necessary attachments. Works requiring alternative methods of fastening or hanging must clearly state this on their application as a special requirement.

Artist Talk: The selected artist or artists shall agree to an Artist Talk at a chosen date throughout the show.

Archive: he selected artist or artists shall agree to donate at least one print exhibited to BPW Archive.
