The park and artists’ residence is located on 25-acres in the scenic St. Croix River Valley, just 45 miles northeast of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, USA.

2014 Intern Artist Program

The Intern Artist Program at Franconia offers the opportunity for undergraduate or graduate students, as well as emerging artists to gain professional experience and build expertise in their emerging careers. Selected Intern Artists are in residence at Franconia for two to three months working in a supportive environment where young artists are stimulated, challenged, and rewarded by the process of creating large-scale sculpture. Working alongside peers and mid-career artists, the Intern Artist Program creates a dynamic setting for artists to grow, learn, and mature.
