ART QUILTS LOWELL 2012 is a juried exhibition, organized by the Brush Art Gallery, to identify and encourage quilt artists. The exhibition will include art quilts from artists throughout the United States and Canada. The exhibition will provide an overview of some of the finest quilts being produced; it is a feature of the 2012 Lowell Quilt Festival August 9 - 12.

ELIGIBILITY: Artists who are residents of the United States or Canada

METHOD OF SELECTION: Digital images on CD only (no slides or photographs)

JUROR: Karey Bresenhan, President and CEO, Quilts Inc

ENTRY PROCEDURE: (truncated)

Theme: Music. Work should reflect this theme.

•Only original art quilts completed within the past 4 years are eligible.

•Artists may submit up to three entries. Please submit up to six high resolution jpegs on a CD.

•Complete on-line application form.

•After completing the on-line form, you will be e-mailed a copy of the form and asked to print it out, enclose it with a CD of your images and a check for fee.

•Note: all communication, including jury decision will be done via e-mail, so make sure to provide an e-mail address that you check frequently.


INSURANCE AND SALES: All quilts will be for sale, unless otherwise specified. The Brush takes a 40% commission (30% for Brush members) on quilts sold. The Brush insures all quilts on loan while they are at the Gallery.
