The Four Rivers Craft Show is highly acclaimed among artists for incredible organization, quality of exhibition, artist hospitality, sales promotion, and community support. The Festival has earned a stellar reputation as an award winning and well juried visual arts venue.
THE FESTIVAL MISSION: To celebrate the arts and this community through a festival accessible to anyone – physically, psychologically, and economically.
Requirements (truncated)
Each applicant is required to submit five quality jpg images representative of current work to be exhibited at the Festival. A sixth jpg image must show display booth with work visibly representative of the quality in the five images of your work. The booth image should also represent your professional presentation.
All work must be of original design executed by the accepted craftpersons. Only craftpersons displaying their own work may participate. Work created in production studios is not eligible.
JURORS: The work of each applicant will be reviewed by a three-member panel of craft professionals. (TBA) The work will be juried based on its being hand-crafted and innovative, with evidence of personal imagination and originality, and the use of quality materials. The Four Rivers Craft Show will reflect a wide variety of media, both functional and decorative, exemplifying folk art, traditional and contemporary craft.
Application Options
Artists may apply to the Smoky Hill River Festival Four Rivers Craft Show in one of two ways: submitting through the ZAPP (zapplication.org) online application system or Direct Mailed Application with downloaded form.
Direct Mailed Application: Please submit your completed application form, image disc, and $30 jury fee. Booth fee and optional electrical fee will be submitted with Exhibiting Agreement, upon acceptance.
ZAPPlication Application: Open the ZAPP website: zapplication.org and follow the website instructions. Image formatting assistance is available on the site. Your $30 jury fee will be processed online. Booth fee and optional electrical fee will be submitted with Exhibiting Agreement, upon acceptance.
Fees
A $30.00 non-refundable jury fee is due with each application. A booth fee of $325.00 will be due by April 25, 2012 and submitted with the Exhibiting Agreement - only one space per artist. No commission will be charged.
Merit Awards: $500, $400, $300, $300, $300
