OH+5 2012 is the eighth in a series of biennial competitions held at The Dairy Barn Arts Center (DBAC) in Athens, Ohio. OH+5 2012 is a regional, all media, juried exhibition of contemporary artwork. This exhibition serves to promote artists residing in Ohio and the five states that border Ohio, including: West Virginia, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. OH + 5 2012 will feature NEW work that provides the viewer with an appreciation of the variety of media, techniques and innovative trends in contemporary art.

RULES AND REQUIREMENTS (truncated)

Work may be created in any media. Innovative, contemporary work is encouraged. Work must be the result of independent effort. Work cannot be the product of, or created for an instructional setting. Such work is considered to be student work and is ineligible. The work must be an original design, not a copy or a variation on the original design of another artist working in any medium. All entries must be NEW work – completed after January 2010.

Work with any publication or exhibition history prior to January 2010 is ineligible. The recent modification of an older or previously dated work does not make the work eligible unless the artist can document significant differences between the original and the revised versions of the piece.

AWARDS
Best of Show and Peoples Choice selections will receive monetary awards.
Each juror will select one work for a non-monetary award.
