The Fire Station has subsidised residential studios that provide self-contained, secure living and working spaces for professional visual artists.

The studios are let for a period of between one year and two years nine months. International artists may apply for shorter periods. Please note that students (including those taking full-time and part-time MA and PhD courses) are not eligible to apply for a studio residency.

Rental includes utilities, waste disposal, parking, internet access, full use of high end computers and access at subsidised cost to digital equipment including digital still cameras, digital camcorders and mini disc recorder tripods and more. There is no application form but artists should follow our guidelines as outlined.

Covering letter
Current CV and documentation of your work

A selection committee then reviews the application and makes recommendations to the board. The selection committee bases its decision solely on what you provide.
