Fibre Design - Fibre Artists of Australia & New Zealand – A TAFTA Artists Book
TAFTA and Dragon Design are seeking images from artists/designers across Australia and New Zealand for publication in late 2010 of a juried collection showcasing fibre/textile objects created since 2000.
Fibre and textiles must be the main focus of all work, but choose work that refl ects the book’s concept for its 150 pages of Fibre Design.
Artists will receive full acknowledgement in the book and will retain copyright of their work.
GUIDELINES
TAFTA and Dragon Design are seeking images from artists/designers across Australia and New Zealand for publication in the Fibre Design book. The book is a juried collection showcasing fibre/textile objects created since 2000. The entries will be screened, in the first instance, by Dragon Design (Garry Benson & Jayne Stacey) for technical quality of images, adherence to the conditions of entry & payment of entry fees (if applicable). They will then be transferred to DVD and sent to a panel of jurors (from the tertiary education sector) for final selection. Fibre and textiles must be the main focus of all work. Please choose work that reflects the book's concept of Fibre Design.
The categories for the book are:
2 dimensional work
3 dimensional work
Basketry
Needlework
Paper and Felt
Surface design
Quilting
Tapestry
Wearables

• You may enter up to a TOTAL of THREE artworks.
• These artworks can be entered in the same category, or you may choose a different category for each artwork. For each entry, please select the category that best represents your artwork.
COST of ENTRY
• If you are a subscriber/member of TAFTA then entry is free. A subscription to Textile Fibre Forum magazine includes membership in TAFTA and is $38.50/yr within Australia or AUD$48/yr airmailed to New Zealand. • If you are a non-member of TAFTA (not a subscriber to Textile Fibre Forum) then there is a handling charge of $25 (non-refundable) - the New Zealand handling charge is NZ$32.00
