The 2010 Conference of the Northern California Handweavers is scheduled for the Santa Clara Convention Center from April 9-11, 2010.

Nationally and internationally acclaimed teachers will conduct classes and workshops in weaving, spinning, dyeing, basketmaking, tapestry, jewelry, color, embellishment, sewing and felting. Teachers’ classes and bios will be available on the website.

A link to the application for the Commercial Exhibitor for the Conference appears below. Acceptance will be determined by postmark and a waiting list will be established if necessary. Applications and checks will be accepted until October 31, 2009 for early bird rates. After that time, confirmation, updated information, insurance waivers, Convention Center terms, etc. will be sent out. Anyone whose application is not accepted will have their check returned.

Included in the fee will be one 6’ table, drapes, 2 chairs, a wastebasket and one 500W electrical connection. Vendors will also be listed on the CNCH website prior to the Conference. Additional items required for the booths will be ordered from Rossi Productions. They will have a form for our event posted on their website.

Vendor setup is scheduled for Thursday, April 8 after 1:00 p.m. The exact time will be determined as we get closer to the event. The Marketplace will be open beginning Friday, April 9 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., when the general public will be admitted. Teardown is set to start at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Santa Clara is located in the heart of Silicon Valley and draws from the entire Bay Area as well as north of San Francisco and southern communities on the Monterey Peninsula, even as far south as central and southern California. CNCH has more than 1,200 members in 35 guilds. We are marketing as well to other textile interests such as knitting, sewing, embroidery, quilting, fashion, braiding, etc.

The Conference Hotel is located on the same property and a special rate to Conference attendees of $129.00 per night for up to 4 persons per room.
