National 2007 is a national juried art competition and exhibition established by the Memphis/Germantown Art League (MGAL) in 1995 to showcase outstanding visual art. This year's theme is "Celebrating Architecture with Art" to commemorate the 150the anniversary of the Architect Institute of America. The competition is open to both professional and amateur artists who work in 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional art media.
Artists must be at least 18 years old to enter.
METHOD OF SELECTION
MGAL National Exhibition 2007 will be selected from 35mm color slides only, no digital entries are allowed. Slides will be assumed to represent accurately the artwork entered.
ELIGIBILITY
Works relating to architecture and the elements of architecture—exterior, interior, landscape, garden, commercial, residential or material used in structure or design to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Architect Institute of America (AIA) in fine art media, 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional, completed within the last two years are eligible. Work must be original art.
PRESENTATION
2-dimentsional artwork may not exceed 4 feet by 4 feet or weight more than 25 lbs. 3-dimensional artwork may not exceed 75 lbs. in weight.
