Celebrating Fifty Years of the Handweavers Guild of Boulder
The Dairy Center for the Arts

Boulder, Colorado
December 5, 2014 –January 16, 2015

This exhibition will show current trends in fiber art including weaving, basketry, felting, spinning, LED-weaving, art quilting, tapestry, knitting, crocheting, and other fiber-related arts. It will be installed throughout The Dairy Center for the Arts, Boulder, Colorado’s premier arts venue. The exhibition will be designed to highlight the art form as a living, changing, and vibrant medium. The juror for the exhibition will be Alice Zrebiec, Avenir Foundation Curator of Textiles of the Denver Art Museum.


Any fiber artist who is currently or has been a member of the Handweavers Guild of Boulder in the past fifty years.

Entry Process

1. Entry will be online only using the registration forms.
2. Applicants can submit up to three (3) entries. There needs to be a full view and a detail of each submitted artwork.
3. The entry fee is $30. Pay online before or after you complete your application.
4. Entries must be original work completed after January 1, 2011.
5. Collaborative work will be considered as a single entry. Artists submitting both collaborative and individual works must apply separately.
6. Work must not exceed 12 feet in any single dimension.
7. Installation pieces must state total space requirement on entry form.
8. Work must be original in concept and design and not be the result of a class or workshop.
9. All work must be either fiber in content or executed in a fiber technique.
