Timeless New Mexico

Deadline: January 14, 2011 (EMAIL)

Timeless New Mexico
An Exhibition of Art Quilts by New Mexico Artists

Rotunda Gallery
Santa Fe, New Mexico
April 2011 – August 2011

The Timeless New Mexico exhibition is an opportunity for New Mexico Artists to communicate their expressions of creativity to a varied audience in a professional gallery setting.

All work must meet the definition of an Art Quilt: a contemporary artwork exploring and expressing aesthetic concerns common to the whole range of visual arts, which retains, through materials or technique, a clear relationship to the folk art quilt from which it descends.

In addition, only original artwork, conceived and created by the entrant(s) will be considered; no patterns, kits, copies, or works that are the result of a class or workshop are allowed.

REQUIREMENTS (truncated)

Width must be 24” – 48”
Length must be 24” - 72”

Work must have been created since January 2005.

A maximum of two (2) works per artist will be considered. Individual or collaborative entries are accepted as long as all
contributors are from New Mexico and must be noted on entry.

Non-refundable entry fee is $30 for up to two (2) entries.

Selection of the work to be shown will be made by Cynthia Sanchez, Director and Curator of the Capitol Collection, based on the digital images submitted. Director Sanchez reserves the right to refuse work that differs from images submitted, is not in good repair or is not appropriate for the exhibition.
