Larson Gallery is accepting entries for Nature By Design: New Directions in Fiber and Jewelry, a new biennial national juried exhibition. The New Directions in Fiber and Jewelry series is a “redefinition” of Art to Wear, the fiber and jewelry biennial that has been hosted by Larson Gallery for nine years. New Directions in Fiber and Jewelry offers a broader platform for fiber and jewelry artists beyond garment or wearable art. This year’s theme is Nature by Design. Submissions may include wearable objects in fiber and jewelry media as well as sculpture, wall hangings and other mixed media work.

This year’s jurors are Lou Cabeen, Associate Professor - Fibers at the University of Washington and Sharon Campbell, co-founder of Art Jewelry Forum.

Approximately $3,000 in prize money will be awarded.

Eligibility: Open to all artists residing the United States. Only original artwork executed by artist within the last two years and not previously shown in a juried Larson Gallery show will be considered. All artwork must be executed and designed by exhibiting artist. The Gallery makes the final decision regarding eligibility.

Eligible media: jewelry and fiber designs

Applicants should send CDs with images of actual work to be considered.

Entry fees are $14 per submission with a maximum of 4 submissions per artist. Details are allowed.
