Arts Festival in Manayunk

Main Street in Manayunk
Philadelphia, PA
Saturday, June 27 & 28, 2009

Manayunk Development Corporation is pleased to announce the 2009 Arts Festival in Manayunk. This year we invite you to share in the tradition of excellence as the tri-state's largest outdoor, juried arts festival. The festival takes place along Main Street in Manayunk, Philadelphia's premiere shopping and dining destination. Manayunk, named a National Historic District in 1983, is centrally located to Center City Philadelphia, the Main Line Suburbs and the entire Delaware Valley. Chic galleries, boutiques, and award-winning restaurants line this converted mill town's Main Street, which parallels the picturesque Manayunk Canal and Schuylkill River.

Open to all artists who design and produce their own work. No commercially mass-produced items will be accepted. All exhibiting artists must be present at the two-day event.

Display Space:
The space provided for each artist is 10’ deep by 10’ wide, inclusive of storage space (electricity is not available). Security will be provided overnight on Saturday, and displays may remain standing. However, it is advised that merchandise be removed. The Manayunk Arts Festival assumes no responsibility for any loss or damage.

Jury Procedure:
Applications must be accompanied by five high quality images, four representing the quality of the work to be exhibited and an overall view of your booth display. 35mm slides or digital images on CD are accepted.

Jury fee: $30 (non-refundable)
Exhibit fee: $450 (2 days)
Fees must be submitted with your application in 2 separate checks.

Notification will be mailed in March 2009.

Prizes: More than $1,000 in cash prizes and purchase awards will be presented.
