Threads of Our Lives Fiber Exhibition

This is a joint show sponsored by Dallas Handweavers & Spinners Guild and Fort Worth Weavers Guild. Participants must be members of either the Dallas Area Fiber Artists, Dallas Handweavers & Spinners Guild, or the Fort Worth Weavers Guild to submit to the exhibition. An individual may join the organization in order to participate in the ‘Threads of our Lives’ exhibition.
Show Eligibility
‘Threads of Our Lives’ will accept applications and artwork from members in good standing of the Dallas Area Fiber Artists, the Dallas Handweavers & Spinners Guild, and the Fort Worth Weavers Guild. An individual may join the organization in order to participate in the ‘Threads of our Lives’ exhibition.
Artwork can be newly created for this exhibition, but can be drawn from the work of the artist from the past 5 years (going back to 2019). All entries must be of original design, with a focus on fiber and/or fiber techniques. Submissions can be 2D or 3D artwork using any type of fiber technique or process, including but not limited to: basketry, book arts, crochet, embroidery, felting, knitting, mixed media, quilting, spinning, and weaving.
Work made from a kit or from another artist’s pattern is not eligible. Artwork started, worked on, or completed in a class or workshop is not eligible.
Entry submission
The fees are $10.00 per entry. Up to three entries per artist are allowed.
Payment will be made at the time of submission through the web portal https://dallasweavers.org/threads-of-our-lives/ and accepts credit cards and PayPal.
