FANTASTIC FIBERS is an international competitive exhibition that seeks to showcase a wide range of outstanding works related to the fiber medium. In three years Fantastic Fibers has grown to a truly international competition/exhibition.

Specifications
Contemporary and innovative works created with fiber as the primary medium are welcome. This exhibition is open to all professional artists 18 years and over working in the field of fiber art. All work submitted must be original, completed in the last three years and not previously exhibited in a Fantastic Fibers exhibition. There are no size restrictions.
Eligibility
Open to all fiber artists. Employees, staff, board and committee members of the Yeiser Art Center, and employees of Paducah Printing and Horizon Media Group are ineligible.
Entering
Entries are now submitted solely online. If one or more of your entries should be accepted into the show you will receive subsequent instructions on final presentation.
No more than five entries may be submitted by any artist. A nonrefundable entry fee of $10 is required for each entry submitted for consideration.
AWARDS
A minimum of $1,750 in cash awards will be given by the jurors. Awards will be made in the following amounts:
•First Place $1,000
•Second Place $500
•Third Place $250
2011 Jurors
Freda Fairchild is a multi media artist and her work is shown nationally and internationally. She works primarily in printmaking and fiber, frequently combining the two techniques.
Caryl Bryer Fallert is internationally recognized for her award-winning art quilts, which have appeared in hundreds of national and international exhibitions, collections, and publications.
Judy Schwender is the Curator of Collections and Registrar at the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, KY. She is a member of the American Quilt Study Group and is currently a Board member.
