Theme - The line between “art” and “craft” is a fine one. Everyone draws the line differently. This show is intended to expose the public to the array of crafts produced in Ventura County; not only in the range of different materials (such as wood, fiber, clay, etc.), but also in the diverse ways in which a given material is used. This show highlights how creative artists can fashion diverse materials into artful crafts that are practical and fanciful.

Selection Process & Awards - The Arts Council will curate the show, but welcomes the submission of work for consideration if the artist/craftsman believes his/her work meets the show theme. The Council will endeavor to indentify and include the work of those who have not exhibited at the Atrium Gallery before. No prizes will be awarded.

No Entry Fee.

The Ventura County Government Center Community Art Gallery is a program operated by the Ventura County Arts Council (VCAC). VCAC has been working in partnership with the County Board of Supervisors and Administrative Staff to exhibit non-commercial art within the Hall of Administration. Exhibitions are organized by VCAC, Visual Arts Committee.

The purpose of the Gallery is also to provide exhibition space for local artists. Therefore, exhibitions are only open to artists that reside in the Tri-County area (Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara).
