Call for Entries - Fine Contemporary Crafts

Deadline: October 6, 2006


You are invited to participate in this year's Fine Contemporary Crafts exhibition at Artspace in Raleigh, NC. Fine Contemporary Crafts is a national biennial juried exhibition. Craftspeople and artists working in a variety of media are encouraged to enter.

Awards
All accepted entries will be listed in an exhibition brochure.
Best of Show - $750
Second Place, Award of Distinction - $450
Third Place, Award of Merit - $200
Honorable Mentions (2) - $50 each

Eligibility
All work must be original. Eligible media include functional or sculptural works in the following: basketry, ceramics, fiber, furniture (any media), glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, handmade paper, and wood.

Slides
Each entrant must submit slides of up to 2 original works (and may submit a maximum of 3 details total) that they plan to exhibit in the show.

Sales
Artspace will retain a commission of 30% of the retail price of each work sold from the exhibit. Work in the exhibit does not have to be for sale.

Entry Information & Fee
_ Non-refundable processing fee of $25 payable to Artspace
_One-page resume (for exhibition publicity if accepted)
_2 slides (plus a max of 3 details total if applicable)
_Completed entry form (download printable PDF)
_Self-addressed envelope with adequate postage

Deadline for receipt of entries is October 6, 2006. Entries received after this date will be returned unopened.
