The Exhibitions Program is a core part of the historic Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, Virginia, located in the greater Washington DC area.

Workhouse Building W-16 hosts three gallery spaces; the McGuireWoods Gallery on the second floor, and the Vulcan and Muse Galleries on the first floor, with approximately 15 total exhibitions programmed yearly. 


ENTRY GUIDELINES 

This open call facilitates submissions from parties interested in having a solo or group exhibition at Workhouse in Building W-16. Applications are reviewed by a jury panel every six months in January and June of each calendar year.

Selections will be made based on images and information submitted on the entry form.

Exhibitions will be placed in galleries based on medium, quantity of artworks, and availability in the Exhibitions Program calendar.
 

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Open to all artists 18 years and older.

The jurors will make final determinations. Size is limited to artwork that fits through a standard door. Floor works must be firmly stable. Large scale installations shall be installed by artist. Artworks to be assembled on site by Workhouse Arts Center must include detailed instructions provided by the artist. Wall-mounted pieces are limited to 20 lbs. per section.


The entry fee is $30.00 (non-refundable).
