2012 John Fries Memorial Prize

Annual $10,000 non-aquisitive award open to Australia or New Zealand artists of all ages and disciplines, who are not enrolled as students and whose work is not held in the collection of a state, territory or national public art gallery.
The competition is administered by Viscopy. The winner will be announced at the opening of the exhibition on August 14. The finalists' exhibition is curated by Venita Poblocki. The prize will be judged by Wayne Tunnicliffe, Head Curator of Australian Art at the Art Gallery of NSW and artists, Bronwyn Bancroft and Kath Fries. Entries close 4th June, 5pm. Finalists’ exhibition at Gaffa Galleries Sydney 11 Aug - 1 Sept.
How to Enter
Full details about the prize, terms and conditions and information on how to enter are on the PDF entry form. Artists need to submit a completed entry form and up to 5 images/excerpts of their work.
- Entries via email – complete entry form electronically and send one email only with the attached form and up to 5 images of your work.
- Entries via post – print and complete the entry form below. Post the completed form to the Viscopy address supplied, along with a CD-Rom or DVD with up to 5 images or excerpts of your work.
