Overview: This is an international exhibition of fiber artists who have stretched the threads beyond all expectations. From weavers to welders and quilters to painters, the field of fiber is being bent, folded, and manipulated into structures from wall hangings to 3-D structures, using materials as varied as dog hair, wire, plastic bags, computer circuitry and motion detectors as well as the more commonly used fibers such as cotton and wool. It's a brave new world for the fiber artist who can attain the stars by constructing a bridge out of anything within reach.
