Inaugural Juried Exhibition
November 2006-March 2007



Entries are now being accepted for the first annual juried exhibition that will showcase Pennsylvania's finest craftsmen.

Radius, HACC Gallery & Museum Shop Presents Pennsylvania Craft, an exhibition which challenges the State’s finest craftsmen to submit their work to be juried for this statewide initiative. Centrally located at The State Museum, Pennsylvania Craft will highlight the excellence of craftsman whose work is contemporary and traditional, functional and decorative. The Pennsylvania Historical Museum Commission, HACC, and the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen cosponsor this exhibition, which is scheduled to become an annual winter showcase. Radius, HACC Gallery & Museum Shop will offer exhibitors the opportunity to sell their work in a further effort to promote craft in PA.

CATEGORIES:
Glass-works of glass that have been crafted by glass blowing, molding, casting or kiln-forming
Ceramic-original clay work
Metal-any work crafted from metal
Wood-Original works in wood that are hand-tooled, machine-worked, turned or carved
Fiber-Wearable or non-wearable work crafted from fiber including fabric and paper
Mixed Media-Two and three-dimensional works that incorporate more than one type of physical material in their production.

catagories

PROCEDURES:
Limit of three items per category
$20 per category, non-refundable
No limit to categories entered
Checks made payable to HACC-Radius
$25.00 charge for returned checks
Enclose seperate entry form for each category
Insurance coverage begins upon physical acceptance of work at The State Museum
Slides or CD w/ PDF file accepted


SALES AND PROMOTION:
Radius, HACC Gallery & Museum Shop will offer the opportunity for accepted artists to sell additional pieces in the museum shop under consignment
