eightbyeight Project

Deadline: March 1, 2013 (RECEIVE)

eightbyeight Project

Eden Court, Inverness
April 2013

In April 2013 the eightbyeight Project are bringing an exciting and innovative exhibition to Eden Court, Inverness.
'Childhood Explored' will feature donations of work from around the UK and beyond, from professional, semi-professional, student and hobbyist artists, photographers, craftspeople and other creatives from diverse disciplines, celebrating what Childhood means to them, and rising awareness of Camille's Appeal’s vital work. All profits raised from the sale of work go directly to the charity.

The eightbyeight Project are inviting donations of 8x8” sized work (or small 3D creations) to take pride of place in our exhibition in support of Camille’s Appeal (http://www.camillesappeal.co.uk/), the children’s brain tumour charity.

We are seeking diverse and exciting donations from professional, non-professional and student artists, painters, printmakers, illustrators, photographers, digital artists, papercrafters, those working with yarn and textiles, ceramics, glass, jewellery, small sculpture, etc inspired by the exhibition theme, ‘Childhood Explored’.

Through coming together as creatives, we hope to raise the profile of this groundbreaking charity, and raise funds for their vital work in the rehabilitation and care of young children with brain tumours.

Participants will be featured on our website (and may include web links and a small profile to be displayed), and will also be included in our month-long exhibition at Eden Court, Scotland’s largest multi-arts venue, in April 2013.

Final closing date for submissions is 1st March 2013, however early participation is very much appreciated (early submissions may receive extra publicity for the artist through being featured in our social media and national media marketing campaigns).
