The Mulvane Art Museum’s Mountain/Plains Art Fair has been an annual favorite among artists and art appreciators since 1992. During this two-day event, thousands visit the beautiful grounds of Washburn University to view the work of 90 jury-selected artists from across the country.
The Jurors will select a maximum of 90 artists from those who apply. Jurors for 2013 are Jon Keith Swindell and Ron Michael.
Application and Jury Fee ($30) submission
Eligible media: painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, jewelry, fiber, glass, wood, metal, ceramics and mixed media.
Participating artists are expected to represent their work personally in their booth while the show is open. Artists agree that all work displayed must be original and designed, executed, and signed by the participating artist(s). Artists are encouraged to display work reflecting a range of price points.
Collaborative work is acceptable. However, booth sharing by artists not collaborating on their artwork is not permitted.

The Tallahassee International is an annual juried competition organized by Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts. The competition is open to all media and is juried by a panel of faculty from within the College of Visual Arts, Theatre and Dance.
Eligibilty: Artists are eligible to submit works without regard to sex, race, creed or national origin. Artists must be 18 years of age or older (current FSU College of Visual Arts, Theatre & Dance faculty or students may NOT enter). All media is eligible for consideration.

Any special exhibition requirements MUST BE submitted in writing accompanying the entry. If an installation work wins entry, the Museum of Fine Arts sets the following
conditions: The artist must provide specific installation instructions or be willing to deliver and install the work themselves.
Awards: The jurors select the award winners after the exhibition has been installed, from the actual works of art.

- A maximum of two (2) works per person may be submitted. Digital images must be in jpeg format.
- For two-dimensional pieces provide one (1) image per work.
- For three-dimensional and installation pieces artists may provide two (2) images per work—a front and rear view or an overall view and a detail.
- Work must be original and prepared for exhibition (i.e. ready for hanging or other appropriate installation), and must be reasonably adaptable to gallery installation.
- The Museum does not impose size restraints, however artists who reside outside the United States and artists whose crated work weighs more that 150 pounds crated
and/or exceeds standard Fed Ex and UPS length and girth measurements, requiring the use of freight shipping, will be responsible for both incoming and return shipping.

Small Expressions is an annual, international, juried exhibit featuring high quality, contemporary small-scale works. Juror: Laura Foster Nicholson, textile artist known for handwoven brocaded tapestries. Laura owns LFN Textiles, designs jacquard ribbon and household textiles, and licenses designs to Crate & Barrel, Land of Nod, Renaissance Ribbons, Larsen, Inc., and others.
Jurying HGA seeks to feature work which is not only of the highest caliber in craftsmanship, and technical ability but which also speaks to intricacy of expression, intimacy of design, thoughtful communication, and visual excitement.
The juror will independently screen all images and make the preliminary selection of all work in the exhibition. Entries will be evaluated on concept, design, technique, craftsmanship and creative exploration.
Eligibility:
Entry Fees: $25 HGA member, $40 non-HGA member, Student (attach copy of student ID from accredited educational institution),no fee. Payment in US funds by check or money order or charge to credit card.
Awards: First, second, and third place awards and the HGA Award will be selected by the juror. Additional special criteria awards may be available.

The Center for Emerging Visual Artists (CFEVA), in partnership with NewCourtland, is pleased to offer Philadelphia area artists the opportunity to participate in an exciting, community-based fellowship. Through the NewCourtland Artist Fellowship, visual artists will be selected to bring innovative and engaging art-making to seniors in sites throughout Philadelphia.
In order to apply, artists are asked to develop an intergenerational project that brings members of the New Courtland together with school age children/teens to create a meaningful experience and an high quality artistic project. Work created by seniors and their school-aged partners during the 2013 Fellowship Program will be exhibited with the work of the artist fellows in a large, well publicized exhibition entitled Art is Ageless.
Accepted artists will receive a fellowship award of $2,500. Once artists receive this award they will be responsible for conducting ten 1.5 hour workshops, attending one sensitivity training session and participating in the Art is Ageless exhibition in Spring/Summer 2014.
Artists will also be separately compensated for purchasing all necessary art supplies and professionally presenting the artwork created in their program for the final exhibition.

•MQS® has opened up several categories to any machine, longarm, mid or shortarm or domestic with or without a track system. These have not changed and include: Traditional Custom, Art, Pictorial, Wall, Fabric Challenge, Just For Me Bed Quilt AND Just For Me Small Quilt.
•Each entrant is limited to a maximum of three quilt entries, with one quilt per category entered. These limitations do not include the challenge competitions. This means that if you chose, you may enter a total of three quilted entries plus one in the thread challenge and one in the fabric challenge for a total of five entries per person.
•MQS® has decided to continue separate categories for art and pictorial quilts in 2013. Consider 3-dimensional entries for the Art category.
•Changes in the size restrictions and embellishment allowances have been made to the Art and Wall quilt categories. Also there is a change in the miniature category.
•In 2013 the Overall category will be open only to hand guided machines with a track system. All computer guided overall entries should be in the computer-guided category.

This exhibit is open to guilds in Texas holding a guild show and contest, a minimum of one show every three years.
You and your guild are invited to participate in this exciting exhibit focusing on the Texas traditional quilter. Simply submit the winning traditional quilts from your last guild show to be considered for inclusion in the exhibit.
You may submit a total of two quilts for our consideration. Quilts must be a minimum of 25" x 25". There is no "made after" date requirement.

This exhibit is open to guilds in Texas holding a guild show and contest, a minimum of one show every three years.
You and your guild are invited to participate in this exciting exhibit focusing on the Texas traditional quilter. Simply submit the winning traditional quilts from your last guild show to be considered for inclusion in the exhibit.
You may submit a total of two quilts for our consideration. Quilts must be a minimum of 25" x 25". There is no "made after" date requirement.

Cheongju International Craft Biennale is pleased to present Something Old Something New, the new theme for the 2013 Cheongju International Craft Biennale. Craft can evolve from something familiar into something fresh and new within a certain time and space. In turn, the new craft which may at first seem novel and unfamiliar can breed familiarity with time. Our intention is to acknowledge the value of craft which has developed between familiarity and originality in the course of time and space, and to explore its various futures. With this in mind, the 8th Cheongju International Craft Biennale invites the diverse and creative works by influential established artists and new emerging artists.
Genres
Metal craft or metalwork, Ceramics, Woodwork, Fibers, Glass, etc., as well as other 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional works that creatively constructs the contemporary craft art values of functionality or aesthetics using natural or man-made materials.
Qualifications for entry
-An original piece of work made within the last 3 years which has not yet been exhibited domestically or internationally.
-Size, weight and form needs to be appropriate for indoor display and transportation.
-Art work is subject to disqualification if it is deemed to have been plagiarized from another work.
Qualifications
Individuals or groups of all nationalities and genders are welcome to apply.
Entry Pieces
Up to 3 pieces per person or group
Entry Standard Requirements
Works must not exceed 200cm in width, height and length after installation.
Awards and Cash Prizes
Grand Prize and Gold Award Winners will be invited to the Awards Ceremony, and given a priority status in public relations activities of the artist’s work as well as in upcoming Cheongju International Craft Biennale exhibitions and workshops.
