Deadline: April 7, 2015 {ONLINE} or {RECEIVE}

Wild Things: Artwork with a Primal Side
Arts Council of Southeast Missouri

Gallery 100 & Lorimier Gallery
Girardeau, MO
June 5 – 27, 2015

If civilization is what separates humankind from the animal kingdom, the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri asks artists to cross that line and become uncivilized. Artists across the United States are invited to submit their works depicting the world’s Wild Things. From household pets to rainforest creatures to ocean dwellers, artwork must depict a member, real or imagined, of the animal kingdom.

Eligibility
Open to all area artists 18 years and older currently residing within the United States. Entries must be original, not previously exhibited at the Arts Council, or in any Arts Council sponsored Juried Exhibit. Maximum size 48” x 72”, including frame. Maximum weight: 75 lbs. Works must be framed and wired for installation. NO SAW TOOTH HANGERS. Three-dimensional pieces must fit through doorway, including frame or stand. The Juror reserves the right to disqualify any work not suitably presented, or that varies from the submitted image.

Fees
The non-refundable entry fee is $30 for up to three works (Arts Council Members pay $25) and $5.00 for each additional entry after that. There is no maximum number of entries, but no more than three works by any artist will be exhibited. Diptychs and triptychs will be considered as two or three entries.
