2014-2015 Season
this town is small is seeking proposals from PEI artists for the 2014-2015 exhibition season in our newly adopted vitrine space, in the lobby of the Holman Grand Hotel, 123 Grafton St - Charlottetown, PE.
We are interested in progressive practices; the fruition of innovative ideas; inventive approaches to artistic production; and work based on an articulate theoretical and/or critical and/or poetic thesis. We encourage and facilitate the presentation of artists and artworks that have and have not been exhibited in this locale. We are enthusiastic about artists’ most recent endeavours, and art forms that propel contemporary production and incite conversation.
The vitrine gallery is located in the lobby of the new Holman Grand Hotel, serving as a pedestrian crossroads for tourists and locals. It is situated in the heart of the downtown core, looking out onto the confederation centre of the arts. The highly visible space is uncluttered and modern. The work is to be site-specific, and to an extent that suits, context specific. Emerging artists are encouraged to apply.
