The Escondido Arts Partnership will present their third juried Fiber & Book Art exhibition. Fiber & Book Artists working in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington are encouraged to submit work to the show. Fiber work can include paper, felt, fabric, yarn, cloth, plant or other organic materials. 75% of the piece should be fiber. The Escondido Municipal Gallery is located in the beautiful downtown Escondido historic district. September is Arts Month in San Diego region.

AWARDS
Cash awards will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

ELIGIBILITY
You may enter Fiber & Book Art if: You are submitting your original handmade fiber work.

ENTRY FEE
The entry fee is $30.00 ($20.00 for EAP members) for one or $40.00
($30.00 for EAP members) for two pieces and is non-refundable. Up to two (2) pieces may be accepted into the exhibition.

*Please mail a CD with jpg images of the 1 or 2 pieces you would like to submit for the show to the gallery to be received by July 21st, 2012. CD should include an image of the entire piece as well as a close-up. CD’s will not be returned. Clearly label each image with the artist’s name and the titles of the pieces. Do not send in the actual piece.

Entry fees are non-refundable.

DELIVERY OF ARTWORK
Accepted artwork must be delivered in person or be received by mail (w/return address, postage, and box) by the receiving dates.

RECEIVING DATE FOR ENTRIES ON CD: Saturday, July 21, 2012

NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE/NON-ACCEPTANCE
Artists will not be notified by mail or email regarding the acceptance/non-acceptance of their work, including notification of awards. A list of accepted work will be posted on our website, www.escondidoarts.org/exhibition.htm by Aug. 1st.
All decisions by the juror will be final.

COMMISSION
Sales of exhibited works are strongly encouraged. There will be a 40% commission on any works sold out of the exhibition.
