This international residency programme, while welcoming proposals taking full advantage of the place’s very specific architecture, is encouraging applications aiming to stimulate exchange and debate in relation with the local context and socio-cultural issues in Luxembourg. project room @ aquarium forms an integral part of the Casino Luxembourg’s agenda of exhibitions and events. Furthermore to the work that the participants are asked to realise during their stay in Luxembourg, they are expected to participate in the activities of Casino Luxembourg on specific occasions to be defined with the Casino team. Their project will be exhibited over a period of two months at the end of the residency and documented in a publication.

Eligibility

The residency is open to all individuals or artists collectives wishing to develop their practice in a professional context by creating new work. Applicants are free to choose their means of artistic expression but must give documented proof of at least a three-year work and exhibition practice. Applicants should not be older than 40 years. In order to facilitate communication with the local scene, participants should be fluent in either English, French or German. All applicants must hold a valid visa for the duration of the residency.

Budget
