Deadline: (ONGOING/UNSPECIFIED)

Call for Exhibition Proposals
LAL Galleries

Lexington Art League
Lexington, KY

LAL welcomes proposals for two of its galleries: LAL @ Loudoun House and LAL Project Space. Both artists and curators are encouraged to submit proposals. Exhibitions are scheduled on a six to eight week rotation. All media will be considered, including installation and new media work. Work may be paired with that of one or more artists in a group exhibition. The proposing artist and/or curator in consultation with the Exhibitions and Programs Director of the LAL will determine the final number of objects.

Eligibility:
Proposals from artists or curators from Kentucky are encouraged. Application materials will not be returned.
Rolling application deadline. All proposals will be kept on file indefinitely and will be in constant consideration for LAL’s developing exhibition calendar.

The concept, format, or theme of the proposed exhibition (please include which gallery space you are applying for)

Information about why the work was selected for the exhibition

Artist/Curator’s capacity to execute the exhibition

Gallery Missions
LAL @ the Loudoun House: The mission is to challenge and stimulate the public through presentation of excellence in art. Exhibits will include artists from across the country (and beyond) that represent the best of the theme or genre intended by the exhibit.

The Loudoun House is an 1850’s Gothic Revival Mansion located in Castlewood Park in Lexington, KY. There are six gallery rooms, each made of concrete walls overlaid with plaster.

LAL Project Space: The mission is to exhibit installation and new media work that is engaging, challenging, and experimental in both concept and execution.
