Entry Categories
Original design Abstract Wall quilts explore shapes, textures, colours, lines or suggest representations of people, places or objects and demonstrate personal expression and originality in design, colour and/or techniques.

Original design Representational Wall quilts depict landscapes, portraits and pictures that are fairly accurate and realistic; may be whole cloth, appliqué, collage and/or any combination of techniques.

Traditional Wall quilts, original interpretation, are based on traditional-style piecing and/or appliqué, using blocks and/or
patterns in the public domain; with pleasing colour combinations and approaches to combining the blocks.

Traditional Wall and Bed Quilts, from patterns or books, are based on traditional style piecing and/or appliqué, made from
published patterns or books. (Written permission to use the pattern from both the designer and publisher is required as part of the entry.)

Bedquilts, original interpretation, are functional quilts to be used on a specific sized bed – crib to king.

Wearable Art, original interpretation, consists of a garment or outfit constructed using quilting techniques, with some quilted areas.

Entry Requirements (truncated)

❏ Credit must be given to the author, teacher, artist, etc. who inspired the work.
❏ Direct products from kits, workshops, books or patterns will NOT be accepted with the exception of items entered under Traditional quilts made from patterns or books category.
❏ Acknowledgement must be given to anyone participating in the execution of the work.
❏ Work must have been completed after January 1, 2009.
❏ Work must NOT have been shown in a Canadian national-level juried/judged quilting exhibition/competition prior to May 2011.
❏ Entry is open to all Canadian residents, Canadian citizens, and CQA/ACC individual members. (If you are not Canadian you
MUST be a CQA/ACC member to enter).
❏ Artists submitting works from outside of Canada will be responsible for all customs arrangements and transportation costs.

Entry Fee: $25 for members or $50 for non-members.

Digital Images: Send one CD-ROM per entry.
