Eligibility
Open to U.S. residents, 18 years or older, working in the following disciplines: painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, fiber, glass, wood, metal and mixed media. No photography accepted. All work submitted must be original (no reproductions), not done under supervision, not made from kits or patterns. All work must be suitably prepared for installation. The curator reserves the right to deny entry if any work is deemed not suitable for display or too difficult to install. Entries must
have been completed after January 1, 2008, and not previously exhibited in a Lynchburg juried art show.

Entry Fee
Entry fees are used to offset necessary expenses involved in making the show possible. A non-refundable fee of $30 entitles each artist to submit up to three entries (AFA Artists Members: $25).Make check payable to the Academy of Fine Arts.

Entry Procedures
The competition will be juried from 35 mm slides in standard mounts as well as from digital images on CD. One image per work is permitted. Three-dimensional work should be representd by two images from different angles.

Juror
Kathleen A. Edwards is Chief Curator at the University of Iowa Museum of Art. Edwards has curated over 30 exhibitions for the UIMA.

Cash Awards
Cash awards totaling over $3,000 will be given at the discretion of the juror. Best In Show Award is $1,000.
