The Liverpool City Art Prize is a national exhibition, open to artists working in painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, ceramics and video art. This is an acquisitive prize to the value of the award, $10,000. There are also separate acquisitive prizes of $1,000 and 2 children’s prizes of $250 each. The exhibition is not themed and will not undergo selection processes before display.

Artists (18 and over) must pay an Entry Fee of $27.50 per artwork submitted (this includes GST)
Artists may submit up to 3 artworks in any media.

Paintings, 2D artworks or multiple panels must be limited to a total size of 170cm x 200cm.

Sculptures should not exceed 200cm in any one dimension and should not exceed 80kg in overall weight.

Video artworks will be limited to single channel video and should be self-playable on DVD only.

Any special hanging requirements will be at the costof the artist (this includes artworks in all media).

The artwork must be the original work of the artist and must be signed by the artist. Artworks must have been produced in the last 12 months and be the property of the artist or their agent. Artworks by groups of eligible artists may be entered.

Prizes include:
Liverpool City Art Prize Overall Winner
$10,000 - Open to all artists in Australia

Two Dimensional Traditional Prize
$1,000 - Any two dimensional work including acrylic, oil, mixed media on paper, board or canvas.

Two Dimensional Contemporary Prize
$1,000 - Any two dimensional work including acrylic, oil, mixed media on paper, board or canvas.

Photography/Digital Prize
$1,000 - Any digital work including photography, new media, sound and interactive work.

Sculpture/Three Dimensional Work Prize
$1,000 - Any three dimensional Work including sculpture, installation.

Children’s Prizes
(Primary) $250 – Open to any artist aged 3-12 years of age
(Secondary) $250 – Open to any artist aged 13-18 years of age
