Frye Art Museum Exhibition Proposals

Deadline: Ongoing

Exhibition Proposals

Frye Art Museum
Seattle, WA

The Frye Art Museum is dedicated to artistic inquiry, a rich visitor experience, and civic responsibility. A primary catalyst for our engagement with contemporary art and artists is the Founding Collection of late-nineteenth- and early-twentieth-century art by Munich-based artists. Admission to the Museum will always be free.

The Frye Art Museum is always interested in seeing work with which we are not familiar. In order to best consider your proposal, we require the following the materials:

Exhibition Proposal / Artist Statement: Please include clear reasons for why the Frye is an appropriate venue for your proposal

Curriculum Vitae for Relevant Parties: Artist, Curator, etc.

Slides: Up to 20 labeled with artist name, title of work, date, media, dimensions in inches and an arrow indicating the proper direction.

Selected Press: Newspaper, magazine, website articles

Self –addressed stamped envelope: Due to the volume of materials we receive, we cannot provide return postage for submissions. If you would like your materials returned please provide appropriate postage and materials for their return.

Please keep in mind that the Museum receives thousands of proposals every year. The proposals are reviewed on a quarterly basis. You will receive a reply within 3-4 months of your submission. PLEASE DO NOT CALL regarding the status of your materials, as we respond to all of the submissions after each quarterly review.
